Objective of TEXAS SHOWDOWN™

Texas Showdown™ is a “Freeze Out” and the objective is to” bust out” all opponents while acquiring a winning poker hand before a 20-minute Time-Out.

The intellectual gaming aspects engineered into TEXAS Showdown™ include the classic concepts of “21”, the intrigue of a board game, and the psychological interplay of poker.

DESCRIPTION OF Texas SHOWDOWN™ play:

Player’s place bets against the Pot and play “11”, a simpler version of the classic card game 21. The cards obtained also dictate the number of spaces the player can move around the 40 space Texas Showdown board. As players move around the boards, they must purchase the property cards associated with the spaces on which they land. They must pay fees when landing on spaces belonging to other players. When landing on “Joker” or “Judge” they must draw a Joker-Judge card and adhere to what the Joker or Judge instructs the player to do. Alternatively, when landing
on “Play Poker” or on another player’s property, they can play simple Two-Card Stud poker to beat players out of their property cards and cash.

In Texas Showdown there’s “Play-Out” or a “20-Minute” “Time-Out.
Play Out goes till a player has a winning five-card combination or any fourteen property cards.
The “20-Minute” Time-out or “Play-Out” is decided before the game begins.

WINNING POKER HANDS ACQUIRED FROM THE TEXAS SHOWDOWN BOARD

Win with: Four Aces with one King; Four Kings with one Ace; A Royal Flush; or any five- of-a-kind, which means a wild 2 or 2s are needed to make the winning hand (Deuces are wild).
